Last week in Silicon Valley I talked about having a “Page,” or participating in a Page, to brand yourself or your offering.
I just got an e-mail from my favorite PR resources, the Publicity Hound, saying that the Mayo Clinic has a Facebook Page… and it’s excellent! They are doing a lot of things right on their page (more at 1to1 Media on this).
The cool thing is, it’s not hard to do. Jesse wrote about creating Facebook Pages, and another post on a few new Page features that really make it powerful.

Thanks for the nice mention and the link. As one of your earlier posts says, the URLs for Facebook pages are now a lot more SEO friendly.
I’m the manager for syndications and social media at Mayo Clinic, and I hope people will check out our Facebook page. As you say, it’s pretty easy to create one. I’m glad you like it, and would welcome any suggestions for improvement.
