Jason previously mentioned profile.to as a method to provide an easy-to-remember url to give people to reference your Facebook profile. I thought I’d give a little plug to an excellent tool of mine that I’d like to share with you. Just last night, I added new functionality to a website I’ve been managing called SocialToo.com that lets you have another simple url to redirect to your Facebook profile.
SocialToo! lets you log into Facebook and stores that information from Facebook to automatically redirect “yourusername.socialtoo.com” directly to your facebook profile. I’ll be expanding on this even further down the road, but there is no need to add an application to your profile - it simply asks you to click on a link, and Facebook gives you a short code to input on the SocialToo.com website. Once we have that, we can redirect to your profile - nice and simple! We’ll also be adding more social networks down the road.
Are you a Twitter user? Input your Twitter Username and Password into SocialToo! during the registration process, and it will automatically follow all those that follow you on Twitter. I also, just last night, added functionality to blacklist people you follow so the auto-follow script doesn’t follow certain Twitter users of your choice. Stay tuned, and soon we’ll be providing ways to integrate Twitter and Facebook, and even other Social Networks together.
